The Very Best of Jackson Browne is more extensive, but this set gives you an idea of what his career looks like in the short view.

2. Best CD in my collection. Buy it! Im a fan and admirer of Jackson Brown for over 15 years. This is one of the greatest CD I possess. Every song is a hit. My personal favs. are Lives in the balance and These days. No JB fan should be without this CD.

4. May 20,  · any true Jackson Browne fan can shoot holes in any best-of package. No one set could be perfect for every fan. The best of disc is a fair representation of his work including a bit too much of the 80s stuff. Even so, it helps to remind what a great song "in the shape of a heart" really was/5(4).

5. Jackson Browne long displayed an aversion to hits collections, releasing his first one 25 years after his debut album. That disc, entitled Next Voice You Hear: The Best of Jackson Browne, had many hits, yet it was also missing many essential songs, leaving an opening for a collection that had all of Browne's hits and signature songs in one place.

6. I believe this is the best compilation available of Jackson Browne's many hits. Perhaps not the most comprehensive, but, to me at least, the best. All collections of hits invariably miss a few fan favorites but pretty much all the things I wanted to hear are on this album including the very moving and extremely beautiful Rebel Jesus/5().
