  1. Released in Europe in release Motorvatin' is an excellent collection of 22 highlights from Chuck Berry's classic Chess recordings. Although it's six tracks short of The Great 28, it nevertheless is almost as good, hitting almost of all Berry's biggest hits in a tight compilation. Of course, these songs were reissued many, many times over the next decades, so it's little wonder that this.

  4. Oct 18,  · Elvis Presley, “Too Much Monkey Business” Like Berry, Presley blended country and R&B influences to create his recognizable rock ‘n’ roll sound, so tackling one of his songs is a no.
  5. Jun 29,  · This is, in my view, an excellent (five-star) collection, one that avoids some songs I am not crazy about and has all the ones I most care about from Mr. Berry. The price is great as well. HOWEVER, ON MY COPY THERE IS A PROBLEM, SEEMINGLY WITH THE MASTER TAPE THE CD WAS MADE FROM, ON TRACK 15, "Bye Bye Johnny."/5(40).
  6. Brilliant CD. From the more familiar School Day (Ring Ring Goes The Bell), Too Much Monkey Business, You Can't Catch Me, and Maybellene, to the less well-known instrumentals such as Deep Feeling and Berry Picking this a great debut from Chuck. With, amongst others, Willie Dixon, Otis Spann, and Jimmy Rogers/5(32).
  7. Peter Pan's CD Let Me Hear Some of That Rock & Roll Music is a cheap budget-line release that doesn't look all that attractive but it does have nine Chess classics. So, the music is good but all these songs -- all the usual suspects, "Johnny B Goode," "Rock & Roll Music," etc -- are easier to find elsewhere in better looking and better sounding packages.
  8. After School Session is the debut album of Chuck Berry, released in May on Chess lweathjerinlecatchdenvelpbablolattiaca.coinfo the exception of two tracks, "Roly Poly" and "Berry Pickin'", all selections had been previously released on 45 rpm lweathjerinlecatchdenvelpbablolattiaca.coinfo is the second long-playing album released by the Chess label.
